Blood Donation At Pulai Springs Resort
Rotaractors never fail to support blood donation drive to save and improve patients' life. We all have these little marker things called antigens on the surface of our red blood cells. If you have blood group A then you've got A antigens covering your red cells. Blood group B means you have B antigens, while group O has neither, and group AB has some of both. It gets more complicated here on in, because there's another antigen in your blood cells called RH antigen. Some of us have it, some of us don't. If it is present, the blood is RhD positive, if not it is RhD negative. So we have A+ and A-, for example. 84% of the population is Rh positive.

Rotary Marine Conservation Project & Project AWARE 2004
The world's oceans and their valuable habitats provide food and livelihoods for many people across the globe in activities ranging from fishing to tourism. But often, this has been ignored and pollution, both on land and at sea, has been on the rise. To address this global issue the Rotary Club of Johor Bahru Central, together with the Rotaract Club of Johor Bahru, have been organising for the past four consecutive years Project A.W.A.R.E., an internationally re-known environmental project which is carried out annually in all parts of the world, to remove harmful debris on land and underwater and create public awareness on the importance of conservation. Johor National Park Corporation (JNPC) also participated in the project at Leeway Subaquatics' Aur Underwater Resort, Sebukang Bay, Pulau Aur, from 18-19 September 2004. In conjunction with International Cleanup Day on 18 September 2004, this two-day event was officiated by YB Dr. Mohd Azam Bin Rauzan, Member of the Johor State Assembly. More than 70 scuba divers and non-divers from JNPC, Rotary and Rotaract have come forth to render their support in this environmental project.
