A Rotaract Club is a Rotary sponsored club for 18-30 year olds that fosters leadership and responsible citizenship, encourages high ethical standards
in business, and promotes international peace and understanding. Rotaract Clubs are usually community-based or university-based
and are sponsored by a local Rotary club making them true "partners in service" and key members of the Rotary family. Through
the Rotaract programme, young adults not only augment their knowledge and skills, but they also address the physical and social
needs of their communities while promoting international understanding and peace through a framework of friendship an service.

Rotaract continues to experience phenomenal growth. There are currently 7,663 Rotaract clubs in 158 countries, with an estimated
membership of more than 176,000 Rotaractors. As the programme continues to grow, Rotaractors repeatedly show that they are
prepared for "Fellowship Through Service".

How Are We Related To Rotary Clubs?
|
Rotaract Clubs have to be organised, counseled and sponsored by a Rotary Club. Rotaract Club of Johor Bahru is sponsored
by Rotary Club of Johor Bahru. Rotaract Clubs are encouraged to invite your sponsoring Rotary Club to your club meetings,
projects and special events on at least a quarterly basis. Rotary Clubs contributions to Rotaract Club's activities are to
be voluntary.

How Are We Related To Rotaract District 3310 Committee?
|
- Rotary International organises the Rotary and Rotaract Clubs worldwide into geographical districts. We are located in RI District 3310 which comprises
the states of Johor and Malacca in West Malaysia, Sabah and Sarawak in East Malaysia, Brunei and Singapore. RI District 3300
comprises of the rest of Malaysia.
- The District Governor (DG) oversees the district on behalf of the Rotary President and the District Rotaract Representative
(DRR) oversees Rotaract Clubs in the district.
- The Rotaract District 3310 is organised into four (4) zones:
- Zone 1: Johor and Malacca
- Zone 2: Sabah
- Zone 3: Singapore
- Zone 4: Sarawak
- Each zone is headed by a Zone Director (previously known as Zonal Representative) who coordinates the clubs in the zone.
- The DRR and ZDs are Rotaractors who are elected by the Rotaract Clubs at the District Rotaract Conference (DRC) and Zonal
Assembly (ZA) respectively. They have to be Past Presidents of the Rotaract Clubs.
- The DRR also appoints a District Rotaract Committee to coordinate the activities of the Rotaract Clubs in the various
aspects.
- There are two major district level meetings, namely the District Rotaract Conference and District Rotaract Assembly (training
for new BOD) and one major zonal meeting, the Zonal Assembly every year.
- The District Rotaract Committee liaise with RI on the Rotaract Clubs behalf and collects district dues from the Clubs
to fund the running of the District Rotaract Committee.
- The DRR also serves as advisor to the club Presidents on matters regarding club organisation.
- The District Rotaract Committee may also organise District-wide service projects in any of the 4 Avenues of Service.

How Are We Related To Rotary International?
|
Rotary International is the international headquarters and governing body for all Rotary and Rotaract Clubs. All Clubs have to be registered with
Rotary International.
